The 4th Quarter Reveiw

# 10
Birdman & Lil' Wayne "Like Father, Like Son"
October 31, 2006

"..the last 2 Cash Money members" release a medicore LP. Lil' Wayne comes hard on most of the songs. Baby's swagger is nice, but it can't over come his simple/garbage lyrics. Wayne would have been better dropping "The Carter III" or his collab with Juelz, "I can't Feel my Face". "Over here Hustlin" and "Stuntin Like My Daddy" pops off the cd nice. On the song "Like Father, Like Son", Weezy does what I hate about him. He reuses line, but tries to flip them.
"Stay dapped and Drapped like a birthday cake"
"You ain't Know" and "Know What I'm Doing" feat. T-Pain and Rick Ross are my shit. And once again BMJR recycles. He reuses a chorus that he put on the DJ Khaled cd on the track, "Don't Die"
"Gansta's don't die, they get chubby and they move to Miami, I move to Miami I'm banned from Wet Willies, but a nigga like fuck it I'm still a G, thuggin out in public, believe it Gansta's don't die, they get chubby and they move to Miami, I move to Miami I'm banned from Wet Willies, but a nigga like fuck it I'm still a G, thuggin out in public, straight up"
"Leather's so Soft" is a hit. Since i'm a Buckeye, I like Weezy's Ohio reference on "All about That" feat Fat Joe
"I ran the streets... check my bio I started high wit' two O's just like Ohio"
Since Baby is on this cd it gets Tre Play.

# 9
Snoop Dogg "The Blue Carpet Treatment"
November 21, 2006

The Doggfather has dropped his best work since "The Last Meal". He did this with like 20 guest appearances. His first single,"Vato", he have left that in Cali or something. Kells always makes a good song. "That's That Shit" is one of the best songs on the cd. "Candy" has a nice chorus so it can be listened to. Snoop has a couple funny lines in there.
"No change man.. gimme the bucks The kinda candy I sell they call it deez nutz (DEEZ NUTZ!!!) I'm almond with the caramel insides You were playin front end with the french fries"
Some of the songs in the middle are not good at all. "I Wanna Fuck You" with Akon is a banger. As an ex-football player I kinda like "Beat up On Ya Pads". That song was unique. He ends the cd with tracks featuring Dre and D'angelo("Imagine") and Stevie Wonder ("Conversations"). Both of those songs are worth listening to. Snoop gets Tre Play.
